details[0] = "Hi, I am Sophie, a Cairn terrier mix of 9 months old and weigh less than 10 lbs. Previously, I lived with an 8 year old child and no other dogs and my owners gave me up because they felt that I had too much energy, but I am just a puppy, with a lot of love, snuggling, and puppy playtime to give!  Did I mention that I absolutely love other dogs? My best friend is a Lowchen and I jump all over her trying to kiss her and learn from her, and sometimes she gets annoyed if I do it when she is sleeping so she corrects me – I can sometimes be a bit domineering.  I like to play in the yard with her (we have Invisible Fence) and I love to run around, play ball and, in general, burn off some of my puppy energy.  I am in love with snow – you can run in it, slide in it, roll in it, and eat it! I even love to crunch on ice cubes.  I potty on command and barely have any accidents, and will sit by the door or jump up and down in front of the door to let you know I need to go out.  Although my first half an hour in a new place makes me a bit nervous since loud noises alarm me, I adjust pretty quickly if you let me give you TONS of kisses because I sure love them!  I am great in the crate and, after a few minutes, I will lay down and sleep peacefully with no accidents!  My foster mom always puts a couple of treats in my crate so I cannot wait to get inside!  I love to cuddle at night and will jump into laps to snuggle and watch TV.  I love to be around people!  I am very smart and learn quickly. I went to puppy training class and can sit on command, lay down, and roll over (doggy treats help me remember how to do these tricks). However, walking on a leash without pulling remains a challenge!  Yes, I am energetic, but I am just a puppy - a sweet little girl and a bundle of love.  I just need love, patience, and a routine and will make an amazing addition to a home that wants a dog who can truly be a play pal and a best friend!  My Adoption Donation is $275";

details[1] = "This 15-pound poodle mix is a real love bug!  Zeus loves belly rubs, playing fetch, chewing his Nylabone, and trying to get treats out of Kongs and other puzzle toys.  He is a smart, active dog but does well in his crate during the workday.  Zeus will sometimes chew on inappropriate objects and can leap up onto counters and tables, so for now it is best if he is crated when alone in the house.  He does bark at noises and things he sees out the window (especially squirrels and cats) but pretty much quiets down at night.  Zeus would probably do well with more experienced dog owners as he will try to be the top dog if you let him.  He is still learning how to sit and greet people politely without jumping on them.  He has lived with kids in the past but would do best with older kids. He knows sit, stay, leave it, and go potty, and is housebroken if let outside on a schedule. Zeus does not shed, which is a nice attribute. He has lived with other dogs in the past, but is reactive towards them when on a leash so his owner would need to work on this. He has shown some resource guarding with rawhides but not with food or toys. Zeus should not be in a home with cats or small pets.  He is quite athletic and would probably do well in agility sports if trained. Zeus is wonderful raw material for someone who is willing to put in the extra time and effort! Honey is a sweet and smart little girl, but is still very timid and needs help coming out of her shell.  She needs patience and an owner who will be consistent with her in her training.  She is crate trained and potty trained outside.  Honey is lovable in an indirect way and once she is convinced that humans are good, she will be a loyal forever friend.  Honey gets along with older (10+) children and other dogs, but we feel that the best fit for her would be a quiet, adult only home.  If you are interested in being considered to adopt our little Honey, please submit an Adoption Application for her today.  She has an Adoption Donation of $250.";

But if you work on gaining his trust, he works through this. He is a good watchdog and alerts us to anyone in our driveway or at our door. He is great on a leash, and loves to play with and fetch rope toys. Brody will only be adopted to a home with a fenced yard, and please no invisible fence!  I have a six year old son who absolutely loves him. He is a sweet dog - a “Diamond in the Rough” type. We are working on housetraining and manners, but he is very smart and catches on quickly. He is good with other dogs and just loves his people!  Brody’s Adoption Donation is $250";

Jerry loves going for walks and is continuing to make gains with leash training.  He does not like squirrels or any other small critters and when out walking will try his hardest to get them.  Jerry has done fine when in the company of other dogs at the Center.  Jerry does not like cats, and would do best in  home without them.  A neighbor has described Jerry as Mr. Personality and that is a very accurate description of him. I am a very well behaved young man who knows how to sit and stay.  I am working on 'shake', but I would prefer not having my feet touched.  I love to play with stuffed toys and try to pull the stuffing and squeakers out of them.  It is my mission in life!  I love to play fetch and tug of war.  I am crate trained while you go to work and sleep in my own bed next to your bed at night.  I am a good sleeper and do this really funny sigh and grunty thing when I settle down to take a nap.  My foster mom thinks it is hysterical!  I tend to be protective of my people, so I think I would be better in a house with no small kids.  I love playing with other dogs and I get along very well with other dogs.  I just wish my foster brothers and sister would play back!  I would NOT be good in a house with smaller animals like bunnies or guinea pigs.  That is the jack russell in me that makes me love to chase small animals!     My foster dad and I get along really well, but we did get off to a rocky start.  I am a little afraid of men at first, but after I get to know you, you can be my best friend. It took a good 3 weeks to settle in to my new home before my personality came out.  My foster mom is the one who feeds me every day, so I think she walks on water!  I also like my extended foster family and friends, but it takes me a little longer to like men.  I would love nothing more than to have a family of my own, so please ask to meet me and see if you can bring me HOME!!  Corky's Adoption Donation is $275";
