Buddy (0145)Breed: Manchester Terrier / Miniature Pinscher Details:This handsome Manchester Terrier/Min Pin boy is Buddy! His foster can't say enough wonderful things about him! Buddy weighs 16 pounds and is about 3 years old. He is crate trained, loves to go on walks and is learning his house manners in his... More...... foster home. He is great with other dogs, but has not been tested with cats. Caesar (0143)Breed: Papillon / Unknown Details:Hi I am Caesar, a 2 year old Papillion mix who is looking for my forever home. I am about 15 lbs, a good lap size; I have been neutered and have all my vaccinations! I am working on all my basic commands and manners: sit, down, walk nicely on a... More...... leash, no jumping up on people, etc. I like to run around and play with other dogs. I like kids and all the adults I have met but I am not so sure about my cat manners since my foster mom does not have any. I like to bark to let you know if someone is coming or if there is a strange noise that I think you should go check out. I am not a fussy eater and I am food motivated, so I am easy to train, says my foster mom. Please come visit me at the adoption center on the weekends or contact the rescue to arrange a time with my foster mom to meet me! I am ready to ring in the New Year in style, so please apply for me today!! Caesar has an Adoption Donation of $275

Jake (0125)Breed: Italian Greyhound / Chihuahua Details:Jake is 3 years old and weighs 7 pounds. He is currently being fostered with dogs and cats. He is interested in the cats, but since they are bigger than he is, it has not been an issue. Jake is completely housebroken, walks very well on a leash... More...... and is not a barker. Jake is a quirky, funny little guy! There are times when he just wants to be left alone and other times when he wants as much love and attention as he can get. Jake is a bit shy and unsure of things at first so we are working on his socialization skills with him. Jake should be in an adult only home with no children. The ideal home for Jake would be with someone who is home with him most of the time. Would Jake be the perfect addition to your family? If you think so, please apply for him today. Adoption Donation for Jake is $250

Katrena (0137)Breed: English Bulldog / Mastiff Details:We are happy to present Katrena, a english bull dog/mastiff mix girl of about three years and 57 pounds. She was surrendered along with Mikey because her people could no longer care for them the way they deserved. Like Mikey, Katrena has a very... More...... nice temperament, keeps her crate clean and is very eager to please. She is a little too interested in cats, though, and will chase them just because they are so interesting. She is a happy girl and loves to play, explore and then nap in a warm spot! She would do best in an adult only home or one with older children that she can knock down when she gets to goofing around. If you would like to be considered to be the lucky family that gets to bring Katrena home, please complete and submit the Adoption Application for her. Katrena has an Adoption Donation of $275.

Rocco (0121)Breed: Beagle / Jack Russell Terrier Details:This cool dude, Rocco, is a great little guy - a big dog in a small package! He is housebroken and crate trained, he will even go into his open crate for some quiet time. He really loves to be with people, gets along good with the dogs in his... More...... foster home and with the neighborhood dogs he has met. He is VERY smart, minds well and clearly enjoys being told when he is a good boy. He loves to go for regular walks to check out all the sniffs in the neighborhood and rides well in a car. His favorite thing is fetch with whatever ball he can find and he will talk to you when he wants you to throw his ball! He is alert and curious, and while he lets you know when someone is outside the house, he will stop barking when told to. He is not hyper, as you might expect with a JRT mix. Rocco likes kids, but small children can get him very excited, so a home with older (10+) kids would be best. He would not do well in a home with cats because he likes to chase small critters like squirrels and chipmunks, and he can never be let off-leash. Rocco is full of personality and makes his foster family laugh every day. If you think Rocco is a perfect fit for your family, please send in your application today! Rocco's Adoption Donation is $250

Buckwheat (0113)Breed: Pit Bull Terrier Details:This handsome red-nose pit bull boy is Buckwheat. He is about 5 years old and weighs approximately 70 pounds. Buckwheat is a sweet boy and so deserves to have a home and family to call his own. He was rescued from a neglectful situation, and we'd... More...... love to see him safe, secure and well-loved for the rest of his life. He is house and crate trained and wants to please. Buckwheat has other canine housemates in his foster home and gets along well with all of them. He is a little 'cat curious' but doesn't chase them, so would probably be best in a home without cats. Would you like to be the lucky one who gets to call this great boy your own? Buckwheat's Adoption Donation is $250

This 35 lb., one year old, bassett hound/pit bull terrier mix boy is one of the sweetest, most fun dogs his foster mom has seen! He... More...... is great on a leash, loves all the people he has met, large and small, and is having loads of fun playing with the big dogs in his foster home. He is working on his house manners, but is a smart boy and will catch on quick! He is still a young guy and is all about fun, so an active family would be a great fit for Jackson. He is also a great snuggler, loves to give kisses and will never pass up a belly rub! If you think Jackson might be the boy for you, submit an online Adoption Application for him today!!! Jackson's Adopton Donation is $275

More...... would prefer to be the only dog in his new home! He also loves to cuddle up with his person for a little snuggle time. Is Benji the dog you have been looking for? Brody (0108)Breed: Labrador Retriever / Unknown Details:Brody was found wandering the streets of Rochester and was taken to the shelter. He was very thin and had a sick tummy from eating whatever he could find. He has blossomed in his foster home though, and is showing everyone what an awesome, grateful... More...... boy he really is. Here is what his foster mom says about him: Brody has fit into our household very nicely. He is generally very calm in the house. He has found his place among our pack - both our own dogs and other fosters. He is very kind to our cats; he barely shows any interest in them at all. In the few short weeks he has been here, Brody has transformed from a shy dog to a happy and easy going guy. He enjoys being a part of a family, and is happy to do whatever we are doing. He LOVES belly rubs and kisses, and will quickly steal your seat on the couch or the recliner if you move! Brody has a tendency to bark at men initially. But if you work on gaining his trust, he works through this. He is a good watchdog and alerts us to anyone in our driveway or at our door. He is great on a leash, and loves to play with and fetch rope toys. I think Brody would do best with a fenced yard. I have a six year old son who absolutely loves him. He is a sweet dog - a “Diamond in the Rough” type. We are working on housetraining and manners, but he is very smart and catches on quickly. He is good with other dogs and just loves his people! Brody’s Adoption Donation is $250

Jerry (0093)Breed: Pomeranian / Cocker Spaniel Details:Jerry is a Pomeranian/cocker spaniel mix and is the sweetest little guy you could ever want to meet! Sadly, his previous owners moved and could not take Jerry with them. Jerry quickly became a "homebody" in his new foster home and loves... More...... spending time with his foster mom where ever she is in the house. If she is in the kitchen, Jerry will come and lie in the kitchen. If she goes into the living room, Jerry will be following right behind her! His foster mom jokes that he should join the Neighborhood Watch Association because he loves to sit and look out the window and observe what is going on on the street! Jerry has not met a person he does not like. He loves to be petted and doted on and will jump into your lap and soak up all the affection and attention you are willing to give him. Jerry is house trained and knows basic commands. Though he does not particularly like his crate, he will tolerate it. Jerry loves going for walks and is continuing to make gains with leash training. He does not like squirrels or any other small critters and when out walking will try his hardest to get them. Jerry has done fine when in the company of other dogs at the Center. Jerry does not like cats, and would do best in home without them. A neighbor has described Jerry as Mr. Personality and that is a very accurate description of him. He has so much love to give and brings such joy and happiness to others, that he is sure to be a welcome addition to a loving home with a nicely fenced in yard for him to play and explore in. If you think that could be you, please submit an Adoption Application for Jerry today. Jerry has an adoption donation of $250.
